Star Trek Into Darkness Mini-Review
Question for prometheus 59650 (Into Darkness SPOILER thread)

Is INTO DARKNESS better than STAR TREK (2009)?. Is INTO DARKNESS better than STAR TREK (2009)?

By GustavoLeao / 09:53, 18 November 2012 / Star Trek: Nemesis
In the November 23rd issue of "Entertainment Weekly", Zachary Quinto
speaks of his recent roles as serial killers, along with his part as
Spock in the newly rebooted "Star Trek" movie series directed by J.J. Abrams.
While being
interviewed about his reveal last week as the villain, "Bloody Face",
in the television series, "American Horror Story: Asylum", Quinto says
that he is "ready to 'go in a different direction' after 'Star Trek Into
Darkness' hits theaters this summer".
Quinto states that he was
"hesitant" to take on the role of the psycho villain in "American Horror
Story: Asylum" due to the fact that he had already played a crazed
killer (Sylar in " Heroes"), but he "was drawn to the fact that he's
('Bloody Face') not a superpowered serial killer who's telekinetically
slicing people's heads open". Quinto offered, though, that "it's safe
to say this will be the last serial killer I'll be playing for the
foreseeable future".
Concerning his previous statement of
wanting to change directions, Quinto ended by saying,"It's like an era
of association with certain roles - a part like Spock, or a part like
Sylar - is coming to an end."
Does Quinto's statement that his
"association" with Spock is "ending" mean that he is weary of the
character and may not return to the Trek movies after "Star Trek Into
Darkness" is released, preferring a new, greater challenge?
