Features

By GustavoLeao / 04:35, 16 November 2012 / Star Trek: Nemesis

IDW comics has just released the covers and information for it's February, 2013, Star Trek titles, including the second issue of the movie prequel comic, Star Trek Countdown to Darkness issue 2.

Lt. Uhura, played by Zoe Saldana, is prominently shown on the prequel comic's cover, with intriguingly bright, "shining" eyes. No details concerning the comic's storyline was given.

Once again, Roberto Orci, writer and producer of "Star Trek Into Darkness", has overseen production of the issue, with Mike Johnson penning the issue, and David Messina handling art.

Also released were covers and information for two other Star Trek titles, "Star Trek Ongoing # 18", revolving around the Uhura's first encounter with Spock, and the complete series of "Star Trek: The Next Generation: Hive".

StarTrek.com broke the news, and all the larger version of covers and more detailed information can be seen at this link.

Irregardless of the [no] spoilers issue....that is a boring cover.

What's spoilery about the cover? It's got Uhura on it - big deal, we've known for 3 years that Dawson was coming back. I don't see anything spectacular about the eyes either (and since IDW already redid Where No Man Has Gone Before, I can't see them having been allowed to do that if the movie had any connection to that storyline).

While I am still rooting for Gary Mitchell, that picture is just artwork, not Mitchell eyes.
