By GustavoLeao / 11:38, 14 November 2012 / General Star Trek

Actress Courtney Peldon (Entourage, Home Improvement, Boston Public) has signed on to play the role of Shree in the independent web series Star Trek Renegades. Shree is a lithe but curvy Andorian con artist, thief and hacker.

Courtney is a nearly 30 year veteran of the entertainment industry. Having begun her long career in commercials and theater in her native New York as a child, she quickly evolved into a noted Broadway/film/television actress starring in the Tony Award nominated Gershwin Theater production of ‘Meet Me in St. Louis’ as the Margaret O’Brien role of ‘Tootie’ by the tender age of 8. From there she appeared in over 20 films including the Steven Speilberg produced ‘Little Giants,’ the Farrelly Brothers comedy ‘Say It Isn’t So’ opposite Sally Field and Chris Klein, National Lampoon’s ‘Adam and Eve,’ ‘Freeloaders’ opposite Olivia Munn, produced by Adam Duritz, ‘Mortuary’ directed by Tobe Hooper, and ‘Road to Hell’ directed by Albert Pyun and winner of Best Picture at the acclaimed Belfast Film Festival to name a few. Courtney has a special place in her heart for the film ‘InAlienable’ which she starred in opposite Richard Hatch, Gary Graham, and Walter Koenig and holds it as being one of her favorite projects she ever completed. She also spent much of her prolific career on hit television shows such as 4 seasons of the ABC comedy ‘Home Improvement’ as Jonathan Taylor Thomas’s girlfriend, 3 seasons of FOX’s ‘Boston Public’ produced and written by David E. Kelley, and CW’s ‘Raising Dad’ with Bob Saget and Kat Dennings. Courtney appeared on numerous other shows in guest star/recurring roles like ‘Star Trek: Deep Space 9,’ ‘Entourage,’ ‘Nash Bridges,’ ‘Renegade,’ ‘That 70s Show,’ ’3rd Rock from the Sun,’ and ‘The Pretender’.

After years as a successful actress and now married, Courtney decided to move behind the scenes and worked as a casting director for numerous TV shows before being offered the prestigious position as the Head of Theatrical at the Aqua Talent Agency. She currently reps some heavy hitters in the industry and can often be quoted as saying, “I finally get to be the agent I wish I’d had.”

The Kickstater Fundaraiser campaign is here

This project will only be funded if at least $200,000 is pledged by Monday Nov 26, 7:21am EST.
