Star Trek: Nemesis
In a
recent interview on
KTLA in Los Angeles,
J. J. Abrams was asked about his current movie and
television projects, along with his charitable interests. During the
interview, Abrams gave a brief update on "
Star Trek Into Darkness".
The first interviewer asked, "You are editing the new Star Trek ...
on of our producers, Grace, literally wears her Star Trek uniform to
work sometimes, which is weird ... it's called 'Star Trek Into
Darkness', reveal everything about the movie".
Abrams replied, "I can't wait to come back when it is closer to
it's release in May, and then I'll come back and tell you some more
stuff, but it's a little early 'cause we're still cutting it together".
The interview then asked, "But just from the raw stuff you have ...
I mean, the reboot you did was terrific ... do you think this is in
keeping ..."
Abrams replies, "We're really happy so far, but you know it remains
to be seen. When something is in the editing process, it is a work in
progress".
A second interviewer chimed in, "We have talked about this before,
when it is such a beloved thing like this, the fan's are ... they know
more than all of us put together, and you have to be very careful to
honor what they know, right?"
Abrams said, "Yes, but we aren't making the Star Trek movie only
for them, we really wanted to make it for ... because, honestly, I was
never really a Star Trek fan growing up, so we are trying to make the
movie for everyone".
