Star Trek: Nemesis
Michael Giacchino, the composer for "Star Trek Into Darkness", has tweeted photos showing that
work has possibly begun on the movie's score.
In a photo tweet of a page of musical score on November 5th,
Giacchino is asked by Joseph Corey Pelc "is this from Star Trek Into
Darkness?", and Giacchino replies, "Perhaps!".
On November 6th, Giacchino tweets a few more photos which are Trek
related, with one showing an empty MGM scoring stage. Attached with the
photo Giacchino says, "MGM scoring stage. LOVE this old room so much.
Look closely and you'll see an old friend.". In the top of the photo,
hanging from the ceiling of the stage, Giacchino is pointing out the
"old friend", a dangling model of the Enterprise. Such a model was
hanging from the stage during the scoring of the first "Star Trek"
film, and can be seen on the DVD Extras for "Star Trek".
Other photo tweets on the same day show an assortment of Mini-Mate
"Star Trek" action figures, along with some "Star Wars" characters.
Giacchino says with one of the tweets, "No - this isn't any sort of
announcement - just sitting here mixing at the old MGM stage."
While none of these tweets are a confirmation of any sort, the
teasing content of "Star Trek" images, along with Giacchino
acknowledgment that the photo of sheet music might be for "Star Trek
Into Darkness", it is obvious that the forthcoming movie is on his mind.
