Kingston upon Hull/Manchester, UK, September 29th, 2012 – Hull based writer, director and producer, Peter
Goundrill, announced today the launch of a new innovative webseries, “Humber City”.
Since graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Hull School of Art and Design in 2010, Peter has
contributed to various online series including the award winning: Star Trek: Phase II. With his debut short film,
Fresh Canvas, in distribution plus webisodes of other series now online. Peter knows firsthand what it takes to
attain high production values on a low budget.
“Humber City is a series that I feel merges the best of British Crime Drama but gives it that spice of what makes
American Television great too,” explains Peter Goundrill, “It’s something that can be identified as being
uniquely British but at the same time maybe something a little more and I can’t think of a better place to
establish it then my home town of Hull”
‘Humber City’ promises to be full of character, tension, suspense and actionplus storylines with heart and soul
all set against the backdrop of a city desperately in need of hope and salvation.

Who’s Who?
John Carrigan is DCI James McGavin - An actor whom is no stranger to webseries following guest appearances
in Star Trek: Phase II, Star Trek Of Gods And Men, and the upcoming western drama, Cowboy Creed from Runic
Films. John is also an accredited Sifu in Bruce Lee's art of Jeet Kune Do.
Zara Phythian is DS Caroline Silvers - 13x Martial Arts World Champion, Inductee of the International Karate
and Kickboxing Hall of Fame (alongside Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris) as well as an actress in a multitude of
independent and mainstream action films including, most recently, The Hike as distributed by Lionsgate.
Joseph Stacey as DC Richard Mills - an actor whose credits include a wide variety of shorts and independent
features including Last Night at Emilios, winner of the Award of Excellence at the Canada International Film
Festival
Paul Flanagan as DSI Charles Spender – A stuntman and actor, Paul has appeared in a multitude of films
including Wrath of the Titans and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Plus Television programmes
such as Red Dwarf and Hollyoaks.
Gemma Deerfield as Dr. Joanna Winters– an actor with a multitude of credits under her belt including multiple
episodes of The History Channel’s ‘Mystery Files’ and the award winning short, ‘Buzz Dish’ directed by British
comedian and writer, Dave Spikey.
Joining them will be a host of guest stars including actor Tim Russ who to most Science Fiction fans is best
known as the Vulcan, Lt. Tuvok on Star Trek: Voyager and is currently appearing as the Principal in
Nickolodeon’s iCarly. Tim is one of many names from Television and Film who will join Humber City in a guest
capacity.
