The whole Mirror story is "unrealistic" (even for a scifi universe). When everything is so different in the other universe I don't think the same persons would meet and end up as the crew of the ISS Enterprise and being at the same place at the same time like the others. But granted, if there are billions of parallel universes, one might have taken this history.
And... it's fun! ;)

There shouldn't be a Mirror Nero because of the vast differences between the mirror universe and the prime universe after the events of Mirror Mirror.

Emperor Spock was overthrown and powerless to our knowledge. Any mirror Nero wouldn't have the same vengeance against HIM

That's fair, but shouldn't the mirror universe be the same exact mirror universe as in Mirror Mirror?

Logically, THEY are exactly the same, and any differences would be the result of interacting with a different Kirk and crew.

That in turn would affect the DS9 episodes.

Oh, and of course I have no problem with the image looking like Quinto--that makes sense.

Why would Nero affect the MIRROR UNIVERSE?
