Original Series Guest Star William Windom, Commodore Matt Decker of "The Doomsday Machine", Dies at Age 88

Actor William Windom, who played Commodore Matt Decker on the seminal second season TOS episode "The Doomsday Machine”, died on Thursday at his home in Woodacre, Calif., north of San Francisco. He was 88.

I've been a fan of his since I was just a kid. I saw the original broadcast of Doomsday Machine and was just blown away by it, and his performance. I am very sad, I had hoped to meet him some day.
