Roberto Orci on the Delay of Star Trek XII Production

Features

By GustavoLeao / 16:53, 10 September 2011 / Star Trek: Nemesis

SuperHeroHype posted an extensive interview with Star Trek XII co-writer Roberto Orci and here is a briefly excerpt.

SHH: I saw director Louis Letterier (who is attached to that movie) at the premiere on Saturday and he was saying, "Oh, I'm working with those guys," and I didn't know what he was talking about because I didn't know you guys were producing that. Obviously, there isn't much that can be said about "Star Trek" at this point. The only thing I'm really curious is about, when I talked to JJ last, I mean, Paramount still has a release date for 11 months away. (Note: Well, that changed literally hours after this interview.) Is that impossible at this point? How do you feel about a late June 2012 release date as someone working on the script?

Orci:
Oh, I'll have to defer to JJ on that one; he can often achieve the impossible. It's certainly a tight schedule, but if he wanted to try and go for it, we will be there ready to fight. If we determine that it's better to take more time in post-production, we can do that, too.

The full interview is here.

The interview was posted at the end of July. So it's not really any new info.
Unless I've missed something we haven't heard anything from the writers or JJ Abrams in weeks.
