Producers Want William Shatner to Appear in T.J. Hooker Feature Film

By GustavoLeao / 08:50, 13 July 2009 / General Genre/SciFi

According to The New York Post, the makers of the just-announced T.J. Hooker feature film want the original Hooker, Star Trek star William Shatner, to appear in the film, as well as Heather Locklear, James Darren, Richard Herd and Adrian Zmed, who all appeared in the 1980s TV cop show.

"We absolutely want to try and get the original cast in the movie," producer Ryan Heppe told the Post. "It's all about finding the right story motivations to include their characters so we're not just stopping the movie to drop by Adrian Zmed's house, you know?"

The original report can be found here.

I'm not going to see it if they don't find a way to have the Shat in a cameo. Maybe he can be the cook. What if they create a black hole and suck in all of LA? How could the franchise make it? I mean LA is like the main character and if they kill it off, what would that mean to the franchise? Would they just move it to Vegas? I don't know if I can handle this.

Of course, now that they've said they'd like to try to get the original cast involved, if it doesn't end happening, as we all know, it then means that these guys are evil, lying bastards on the same level as Hitler. ;-)

You know I had to laugh when I read that article because the wording sounds very similar to what the Star Trek producers said about trying to include Mr. Shatner.
Let's hope we're not in for another round of angry fans flooding the internet and Shatner complaining in every single interview he does.
