Two New Movie Photos : Kirk and Spock on the Transporter Room and Nero's Platform

The latest issue of Total Film magazine (featuring 4 movie covers - see previous article) bring us two new photos from the Star Trek movie : Kirk (Chris Pine) and Spock (Zachary Quinto) on the Enterprise transporter room ready to beam out (you can see the transporter effect) and Nero's drilling platform weapon.

OH WOW, CANT...HELP..GEEKING...OUT. I LOVE THE TRANSPORTER, IT LOOKS BIG, IT LOOKS INDUSTRIAL, IT LOOKS POWERFUL, IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS ACTUALLY MEANT TO DECONSTRUCT AND TRANSPORT MATTER VIA PURE ENGERY.

I am really eager to see and hear the effects.

I still am not sure if I like the new swirling effects rather than the "shower" effect. It takes a cue from the swirling Cardassian effect, which I liked. I liked the Enterprise effect that sparkle from the outside in, that was clever. I always loved the transporter effects from the movies, those multiple tall glowing beams especially Star Trek VI when the Klingons come to dine, all that needless glowing light, those sound fx...just pure energy. But above all else I think the effects for Shinzon's transporter takes the cake.
