By GustavoLeao / 06:21, 2 November 2008 / General Star Trek

Star Trek Federation One fan production series, from the same producers of Star Trek Hidden Frontier and Operation Beta Shield, released its premiere episode titled "Unity" online for download today. The episode stars Wayne Webb as Lt. Commader Matt McCabe, who is the Federation President's Secret Service Officer, and a special appearance of Hidden Frontier star Risha Denney as Commodore Elizabeth Shelby.

"The mini-series focuses on the President of the United Federation of Planets, someone we've seen occasionally in Trek, but never explored in any detail." producer Rob Caves told TrekWeb  "We'll see the day-to-day operation of the Federation and the inner workings of its government for the first time."

In "Unity", The investigation continues into Federation President Se'Fron's death (as seen in the fan film Operation Beta Shield) and McCabe suspects everyone. Section 31, President Vindenpawl and the Romulans are all under suspicion.

The return of the Archien complicate matters as the tension heats up in the highest office in the Federation.

The episode is now freely available for download on their official website.
