According to Amazon.com, Star Trek movie writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman and writers/artists Tim Jones and Mike Jonhson, are writing a IDW comic book titled Star Trek Countdown, to be released on paperback April 15 2009.

The countdown to the motion picture event of 2009 begins here, in the exclusive comics prequel to STAR TREK, the upcoming blockbuster film from Paramount Pictures!
