Hollywood.com posted a video interview with actor Karl Urban, who plays the new Leonard "Bones" McCoy in the upcoming Star Trek movie, recorded at the Cloverfield premiere back in January. Here are excerpts.
Are you a Trekkie or a Trekkie in the making ?
Yeah, I am a long term Trek fan, I used to watch the show when I was about seven with my dad, so for me to be a part of it is just awesome, and is such an exciting script and I think is going to be a ballistic movie.[...]
The great thing about this script and, you know, what J.J. and this phenomenal cast is doing, is that is all very, very faithful
to The Original Series, to those characters that were created back in the 60s and to very spirit of the whole Roddenberry world, so I think fans will be very, very happy and excited, and I hope it will bring new fans familiar with the Original Series or the movies, so it is exciting.
You can watch the brief interview at YouTube.
