Legendary writer/artist John Byrne posted at his message boards a few of the starship designs he has been working on for the upcoming Crew comic book mini series from IDW.
"The story follows one particular character from cadet to lieutenant, and not all aboard the Enterprise, or even cruisers." Byrne revealed. The story will apparently feature characters from the Christopher Pike era, including Captain Robert April, the first captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise (you can see Byrne's sketch of April here).
