I'm sorry, but while the taglines are very nice, the stills they've chosen for the poster are not at all dramatic or dynamic.

Harriman is okay but not great -- a little stiff and posed, not really in action -- Chekhov's pic tells us nothing but that it's Chekhov, looking like he's trying to remember the name of that neat goulash take-away place on Ceti Alpha Six (or was it Ceti Alpha Five?). Uhura looks a little pinched, peeved and over-all 'ho-hum'. Tuvok, not much happening there. In fact, only whats-his-face has a look that does anything. The rest of these pics are just poorly chosen snaps whacked together in a collage.

This is what narks me about even these 'best' fan flicks - they still fall SO short of the very basic mark in every way. Costume, lighting, sound, blocking and usually SCRIPT and ACTING (yeah, those aren't really important). These are SO easy to actually get right, to do right, but like a poor marksman the fan flicks keep missing the target. (Oops, sorry, dropped into Kirk-speak there.)
