Jul 02 | Company of Angels (CoA), which was co-founded in 1959 by actor Leonard Nimoy, is celebrating its 50th Anniversary as Los Angeles' oldest non profit professional theater now headquartered at the historic Alexandria Hotel in downtown LA. CoA is readying to celebrate this milestone in the history of Los Angeles Theater - with a prestigious Charity Awards Gala slated for October 17, 2009 which will honor actor Leonard Nimoy for his role as a founding member as well as veteran actor Robert Ellenstein. "I'm looking forward to celebrating Company of Angels' 50th Anniversary Award Ceremony and Gala." The production team of Star Trek Of Gods and Men fan film sent the folllowing message to TrekWeb (which was posted at their message board) :
Mark your calendars!
The Producers of Star Trek: Of Gods and Men are proud
to announce that Part II will be released on
Saturday, March 15th at 1701 EST (5:01 pm EST)
We are in the process of finalizing the sound mix and
color timing. The effects look great, the acting is
really top-notch, and many of the questions you had
about Part I will be answered (but not all of them, of
course )!

The fan film stars Walter Koenig as Captain Pavel Chekov, Nichelle Nichols as Captain Nyota Uhura, Grace Lee Whitney as Janice Rand, Tim Russ as Tuvok and Alan Ruck as Captain John Harriman. The movie also stars Ethan Phillips (ST: VOY), Gary Graham (ST: ENT), Garrett Wang (ST: VOY), Chase Masterson (ST: DS9), Cirroc Lofton (ST: DS9), J.G. Hertzler (ST : DS9), Jack Donner (ST: ENT) and three special guests from Star Trek New Voyages fan series have roles as well - James Cawley, Jeffery Quinn and John Carrigan.
Star Trek: Of Gods and Men, is an original production from director Tim Russ, produced by Sky Conway and story written by Ethan H. Calk, Sky Douglas Conway and Jack Treviño.
