Jul 02 | Company of Angels (CoA), which was co-founded in 1959 by actor Leonard Nimoy, is celebrating its 50th Anniversary as Los Angeles' oldest non profit professional theater now headquartered at the historic Alexandria Hotel in downtown LA. CoA is readying to celebrate this milestone in the history of Los Angeles Theater - with a prestigious Charity Awards Gala slated for October 17, 2009 which will honor actor Leonard Nimoy for his role as a founding member as well as veteran actor Robert Ellenstein. "Yesterday's Enterprise" co-writer Eric Stillwell sent to TrekWeb the following invitation to an event this weekend which celebrates the the 18th anniversary of this fan-favorite TNG episode. The event is a fundraiser for Downtown Initiative for the Visual Arts, which is a non-profit organization in Eugene, Oregon. All proceeds go to DIVA.
Board Member Eric Stillwell will offer two programs this weekend and the Media Arts Committee invites the DIVA Board to join us in recognizing Eric's work in the film and television industry.

Stillwell, Lolita Fatjo, and Mary Conley, all formerly with Star Trek: The Next Generation series, will present an informational workshop on writing for science fiction television and will take you behind the scenes of one of Hollywood's most successful and long-lasting franchises. The three guests will discuss the various steps in the process of selling a script idea, from inception to final
draft. Copy of Stillwell's book "Yesterday's Enterprise" included.
Host and Guests:
Eric A. Stillwell was a script coordinator on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Insurrection, co-wrote the TNG episode "Yesterday's Enterprise" and the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Prime Factors." He also co-wrote the story for the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine novel "The 34th Rule" and played a Klingon "extra" in the feature film Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country. Eric was also an associate
producer on the USA Network series The Dead Zone and the ABC Family Channel series Wildfire, before returning to Eugene, his hometown, in 2005.
Lolita Fatjo was script coordinator on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager, as well as the feature films Star Trek: Generations and Star Trek: First Contact.
Lolita and Eric co-created the Star Trek Writers Workshop in the early 1990s and have presented it to writers and fans throughout the United
States and around the world. Lolita will be visiting from her home in Santa Clara, California.
Mary Conley was a writer for the Paramount Studios comedy series Ferris Bueller, and occasionally worked with Eric and Lolita at Star Trek: The Next Generation. Mary currently lives in Eugene and works
for the Ulum Group.
