Features

By GustavoLeao / 09:49, 13 September 2007 / Trek Books

Here are the covers for the upcoming Star Trek Deep Space Nine Terok Nor novels, to be published in 2008. Cover art is by John Picacio. The art represents what the three covers will look like when you put them together.

The series will chronicle the Cardassian occupation of Bajor and the history of Terok Nor before it became Deep Space Nine.

The first novel will focus on the beginning of the occupation, written by James Swallow.

The remaining two novels will be a connected duology; the first written by S.D. Perry, the second by Britta Dennison.

The novels titles and the release date are :

APRIL

STAR TREK TEROK NOR: DAY OF THE VIPERS by James Swallow (mass)

The beginning of the Cardassian occupation of Bajor, from 2318-2328

MAY

- STAR TREK TEROK NOR: NIGHT OF THE WOLVES by S.D. Perry and Britta Dennison (mass)

The occupation of Bajor from 2345-2357

JUNE

STAR TREK TEROK NOR: DAWN OF THE EAGLES by S.D. Perry and Britta Dennison (mass)

The occupation of Bajor from 2360-2369

Yep...gotta agree with some of you. I WILL be reading these. DS9 books, for the most part, have all been pretty well done. I would love more books centering on post-Prophet Sisko...but Dukat is probably the most fleshed out villian of all TREKS so this will be a good read I suspect...

DS9 was the only interesting Trek | Report this post to moderator

Personally I'm ecstatic about these books. I think DS9 was the only component of the franchise that developed the characters and the universe as deeply as it did. None of the other series came close IMHO. These books will just add to the mythology of that universe. Can't wait.

Don't judge books by their covers! | Report this post to moderator

....but in this case it's OK. ; ) Such an obvious road to take with the novels, but I never even thought of it. lol. I guess I've been too preoccupied with what is happening post-DS9.

Anyway, looks cool. Sounds to me like a definite read. DS9 books are always a great read, at least from what I have read.
