May 09 | Universal Studios has announced plans to bring hit Xbox 360 shooter BioShock to the big screen. The film will be directed by Gore Verbinski, whose previous credits include the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy and The Ring. John Logan, who wrote Star Trek Nemesis, is in talks to produce the screenplay.
May 09 | Patrick Stewart will appear on Downstage Center, a theatrical interview show on XM Radio's On Broadway Channel 28 on May 9, 2008 @ 6:OO p.m. EST to discuss his role in Macbeth. The show will repeat on Saturday, May 10th @ noon, May 11th @ 7 p.m., and May 14th @ midnight EST. May 08 | TV Guide reports that veteran Babylon 5 star Bruce Boxleitner has landed a top-secret recurring role in Heroes. The magazine says the role was originally going to be modeled after Sen. John McCain. The character has since been reconceived and is expected to be sharing scenes with a female series regular. They add that, although the show is introducing some new faces next season, the primary focus will remain "on the core characters from the pilot."

May 07 | According to SyFy Portal, actor Esai Morales, who most recently played Maj. Edward Beck in the CBS series Jericho, has been cast to play Joseph Adama -- the father of William Adama -- in the upcoming Battlestar Galactica prequel Caprica. The elder Adama, according to The Hollywood Reporter, is described as a "deeply passionate man with a strong sense of justice -- and someone you wouldn't want as your enemy."

In his latest Shatnervision video interview, Star Trek star William Shatner responds to the comments and tabloid reports that he is "furious" at the Star Trek XI producers about not being in the movie. (story)
Shatner revealed that he has ‘known for a while' that he will not be in J.J. Abrams upcoming Star Trek XI movie, and that he in fact called Abrams after the recent rumors were published in the tabloids to tell him he wasn't upset. But Shatner did admit to being 'sad' and ‘disappointed' about not being in the movie. He also said that he is not lobbying for a part in Trek XI.
