Official Press Release
Runnemede, NJ - DYNAMITE ENTERTAINMENT today released images and information announcing the third issue of the first Battlestar Galactica mini-series event by Javier Grillo-Marxuach -- Battlestar Galactica: Cylon Apocalypse!
This exciting all-new BSG adventure is written by the successful writer/producer of "Lost" and "Medium" -- Javier Grillo-Marxuach -- with art by Battlestar veteran Carlos Rafael. Battlestar Galactica: Cylon Apocalypse #3 is scheduled for an April release and will be available with covers by Michael Golden, Pat Lee and Carlos Rafael, as well as Stephen Sadowski!
According to Dynamite: "Heads up, Classic fans.... Finally, the crew of the Galactica has found a path to Earth-- and the only thing standing in the way is a planet full of warring Cylons! Here's a taste of the excitement!"
"We are going to take the Galactica into lightspeed," Adama commanded.
"Lightspeed?" Bojay spoke the collective thoughts of the stunned Viper pilots. "Commander- with all due respect, this ship hasn't engaged the hyper-velocity drives in over twenty yahrens!"
"She'll make it," a confident voice assured from aside the ranks. Starbuck moved in and with his usual coolness added. "She survived the Hasari routs. The second siege of the Cosmora Archipelago. And the ambush at Cimitar... She can survive us hitting the throttle for a few seconds!"
"If you think that sounds exciting, then keep in mind we haven't even gotten to the dangers emanating from the planet of Cylons, the launching of nano-cybrid weapons and the wormhole that may finally take the Galactica to earth," continued Dynamite. "Every Cylon Apocalypse script we received from writer Javier Grillo-Marxuach surpassed the previous one. His Battlestar knowledge appears to know no bounds, and he's utilizing every bit of it to craft one of the greatest space adventures in comic book history. In fact, when he starts throwing in terminology such as ‘gallmonging snitrat', we start to believe that he may have actually been a Galactica crew member.
"What's more, with Classic Battlestar artist Carlos Rafael providing the interiors, the book looks every bit as good as it sounds. Carlos' art style is the perfect compliment to Javier's innovative tale! All this and another outstanding round of covers by veteran space-ace artists Michael Golden, Pat Lee and Carlos Rafael, as well as Stephen Sadowski!" states Dynamite Entertainment.
