Most of what is on these special editions is just ho-hum documentaries.

Zefram Cochrane- Another continuity Challenge | Report this post to moderator

How did Zefram Cochrane turn from a buff 60's style movie actor type (TOS) into a tall, skinny, hook nosed rock and roll loving drunk (FC and ENT)?

let us HOPE that FC won't have the same video problem as generations. the oversharpening is HORRIBLE. did it happen on paramount's other releases like top gun?

deleted scene | Report this post to moderator

i remember reading in the uk monthly mag that a scene was show where instead of riker shooting cochrane when he ran off deanna led him to the top of a cliff where he wanted to jump, she said go ahead and pushed him off, but geordie had rigged up a force field and he landed on that safely and after calling troi nuts decided he didnt want to die, it was taken out as it was a bit daft, and why had geordi known to rig up a force field, i remember them saying had been filmed and id have loved to have seen it. Anyway i hope that they include deleted scenes with insurrection and nemesis, i know most people dont like these films but i do, and it would be great to see a full directors cut of nemesis as i cant see why someone would purchase the normal two disc version otherwise. we have seen documentaries, deleted scenes etc already. but as for insurrection i want to see the scene in the library where max grodenchick is firing spit balls at riker and troi, the kiss between picard and anij, the scene at the end with quark, and also the alternate ending from the book where ruaffo got younger and was never born, it was filmed because test audiences didnt like it!!! so i wanna see all those on the future releases

...about this version over the last version they released, beyond the extras.

I don't have access to the original First Contact DVD (it's boxed up, recently moved), but was it an anamorphic release?

Hopefully more details get released, like perhaps they included a DTS track with this release of FC (as they did with Generations), or maybe the print/video has been cleaned up and/or made anamorphic (assuming the previous release wasn't already).

Moore and Braga doing a audio commentary together. I thought those 2 couldn't stand each other.

No overall Production Featurette and no Deleted Scenes "sigh"

Nemesis had all the right buttons there waiting to be pressed, but like Data on a Reman keypad Paramount seem to have pushed the wrong ones. :/
