Shuttle Count: Some of the crew took shuttles and sent them on course for the Alpha Quadrant. This seems to indicate that there are at least a few still around.

TV Guide description:
Voyager encounters a renegade Krenim warship that exists outside of space-time. On board is a weapon so devastating it can change the past, empowering the present Krenim with a vast empire that Voyager must pass through. Part 1 of [2].
This story is based on events that Kes saw in "Before and After".
But the crew seems to have forgotten that Kes even existed at all. They have never heard of the Krenim before. They did not know about chronoton torpedoes, and they had no idea how to protect themselves against same. Soviet revisionism at its finest!

The Voyager escape pods seen in "Year of Hell" were designed by Rick Sternbach, and are based on the Enterprise-E escape pods designed by Bill George for Star Trek: First Contact. (Rick deliberately wanted to show that both versions were in the same design family).

Why didn't anyone remember the phase differential of the torpedoes from Kes's visions in "Before and After"?
The original script *did* have them briefly discuss Kes' warning, but it was cut out of the final show.

"Year of Hell, Part II" concludes the following week, Wednesday, November 12 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET/PT) on UPN.
