When Voyager responds to a distress call from an alien ship, B'Elanna
and the Doctor find that the lone survivor is the ship's sanitation
holographic program.
Guest Stars:
Shuttle Count: B'Elanna and the Doc take a shuttle.
Notes:
- Voyager responds to a distress call from an alien ship, and sends
the Doctor and Torres over in a shuttlecraft to help. There,
B'Elanna and the Doc discover that the lone "survivor" is the
ship's sanitation holographic program. When they find the bodies
neatly stored away somewhere, they realize that the alien hologram,
who had become compulsively clean, mentally unstable, and
resentful, is the culprit. The alien hologram almost kills
B'Elanna by holographically reaching into her chest cavity and
damaging her heart(s), but she manages to knock out the
holoemitters on the ship just in the nick of time... or so they
think. The alien hologram somehow recovers and goes after the Doc
and the injured B'Elanna--his goal, to steal the Doctor's portable
holographic emitter.
- TV Guide description:
"Torres and the Doctor investigate a distress call sent by a
holographic crewman, the sole survivor on a crippled ship; and Kim
and Seven of Nine get to know each other."
- Tuvok is re-promoted to his "Caretaker" rank
of Lt. Commander. He was demoted for his actions in "Prime Factors".
