Guest Stars:

Notes:
  • This is the second episode which LeVar Burton is directing. The other was "Ex Post Facto".

  • Ens. Wildman's husband is Kterian. This would most likely account for her over 13-month (so far) pregnancy.

  • The Doctor is still pondering names for himself. He's been doing a lot of research, but hasn't found anything apropos.

  • Kes's father's name is Vaneran. She has an uncle named Elrum, which means that Ocampa females can have more than one child. Most likely, a child must be conceived during the Elogium in order to have any children ever.

  • Lt. Rollins (cf. "Caretaker") and Tom Paris got into a fight because Tom didn't punctuate his reports according to Starfleet specs. Tom also came in late to a staff meeting, which, in connection with Tom's gambling operation last week, is a disturbing trend for the Lieutenant.

  • And speaking of trends, Michael Jonas is continuing to provide information to Seska. This time, his contact has changed from Rettik (cf. "Alliances, "Threshold") to Lorrum. He has provided lots of information to the Kazon Nistrim, and may continue to do so in the future.

  • The Cardassians made a destructive weapon which the Maquis tagged "Dreadnought". The Maquis, primarily Chakotay and B'Elanna Torres, captured one of these weapons and reprogrammed it to attack the Cardies. However, the detonator on the extremely powerful missile was of an old design and failed to detonate.

  • B'Elanna updated the computer voice to use her own (she did not like the Cardassian voice which was being used), and programmed several conditions and scenarios into the computer, the seventh of which was that B'Elanna might have been coerced by the Cardassians to deactivate Dreadnought. She last communicated with Dreadnought on stardate 47582.

  • Dreadnought entered the Badlands and was taken by the Caretaker.

  • Dreadnought was equipped with quantum torpedoes, but Voyager has Type VI photon torpedoes, which had not been in use at the time of Dreadnought's transport to the Delta Quadrant.

  • Dreadnought has five Alert Stages:
    1. Boom!
    2. Ready to Boom! Triggered if enemy vessels approach while in level 3.
    3. Target lock mode, heading toward target.
    4. Safe level, scanning for target.
    5. Safe level, standby mode.

"Dreadnought" - Voyager spots a Cardassian designed, self-guided missile carrying a warhead capable of significant destructive force. As it travels towards Rakosan, a heavily populated planet, Torres reports that she's partly responsible for its virtually unstoppable status. When she was a Maquis, she intercepted it and changed its program to assault the Cardassians, but it later went astray and now she's the only hope in stopping it. So, Torres volunteers to transport to the missile's interior and reprogram it again. But, before she can detonate the warhead, the onboard computer tries to destroy her first, on "Star Trek: Voyager" airing MONDAY, FEB. 12 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET/PT) on UPN. Meanwhile, Jonas transmits the classified information on the mission to Seska.
