    Emergency Medical Holographic Program
A holographic projection, the Doctor has yet to choose a name for himself, and thanks to the third season episode "Future's End" has gained the ability to move about the ship and even leave it by using a mobil holographic emitter. The EMH has been improved upon by Starfleet, in the form of the new "EMH-2" seen in the fourth season episode "Message in a Bottle."
