Notes:
- This is the second episode with Kor, played by John Colicos. The first
was "Blood Oath".
- 1400 years ago, or about A.D. 950, was the time of Kahless.
- Although the closed captioning said that Dax, Worf, and Kor were taking
the Runabout Mekong, the voices
indicated that it was the Rio Grande. It is therefore suspected
that originally it was supposed to be the Rio Grande which was
destroyed in "The Die is Cast", but due to the
longevity of the Runabout thus far, it was decided to retcon the destroyed
Runabout to be the Mekong.
- The Torch of G'Bak and Sabak's Armor are
legendary treasures like the Sword of Kahless.
- Worf's experiences in the cave of No'Mat are expounded upon here:
He was living on Earth with his adopted parents (Cf. TNG's "Family",
"Rightful Heir"), but found that he did not fit in. He was sent to
his relatives and
visited the caves of No'Mat, wherein he had a vision of Kahless
telling him that he would do something which no other Klingon had
done. He had thought that joining Starfleet was what was meant, but
his ideas changed to finding the Sword of Kahless and ruling the
Klingon Empire by that action.
- Tricorders can emulate lifesigns of various species.
