Guest Stars:

Spellings: "Klaestron Four"

Notes:

  • Anne Haney, who played the Judge, also played Rishon Uxbridge in the TNG episode "The Survivors".

  • This episode is our first glimpse into the Bajoran legal system, and of the legal precedents for Trills' responsibility for the symbionts' prior hosts.

  • The people of Klaestron Four were apparently aware of the Trills long before the Federation knew of them in TNG's "The Host".

  • Trills have a 93-hour period after joining before the merging of personalities is complete.

  • At the end of this episode, there is a fade-out rather than a clean cut. This is very rare in Star Trek episodes.
