Production Number: 408
Original air week: 2/15/93
Written by: D.C. Fontana and Peter Allan Fields (Teleplay);
Peter Allan Fields (Story)
Directed by: David Carson
Guest Stars:
Spellings: "Klaestron Four"
Notes:
- Anne Haney, who played the Judge, also played Rishon Uxbridge in the
TNG episode "The Survivors".
- This episode is our first glimpse into the Bajoran legal system, and
of the legal precedents for Trills' responsibility for the symbionts'
prior hosts.
- The people of Klaestron Four were apparently aware of the Trills long
before the Federation knew of them in TNG's "The Host".
- Trills have a 93-hour period after joining before the merging of
personalities is complete.
- At the end of this episode, there is a fade-out rather than a clean
cut. This is very rare in Star Trek episodes.
