- This is the first episode of DS9 with Q, played by John de Lancie. He
also appeared in several TNG episodes.
- This is the third episode of Star Trek with Vash, played by Jennifer
Hetrick. She also appeared in TNG's "Captain's Holiday" and "Qpid".
- This is the first episode that the phrase "Gold Press Latinum" is used.
- The Assay office is first shown in this episode. It is also mentioned
in "Indiscretion".
- Little language humor: In German, "Q" is pronounced the same
as the German word for "cow". In French, "Vash" is pronounced the
same as the French word for "cow". This episode is the first time
cows have visited the station. :-)

I don't know for sure, but I think so. Everybody loves John
De Lancie, we all did, you all do, so yes, why not, why
shouldn't he?

Did you think your character was portrayed as a weaker character
in the DS9 episode?
Yes I do. It was the premise I didn't like. Q was being rejected
by Vash when I thought the opposite should be taking place. It
just didn't make sense.
