- This is the first of several episodes with Garak, played by Andrew
Robinson. He returns in "Cardassians".
- Kira was a part of the Shakaar Resistance cell during the
Cardassian occupation of Bajor. Her involvement in this group
is featured prominently in the episode of the same name, "Shakaar".
