VOYAGER SEASON SIX INSIDER PREVIEW

Tuesday, June 15, 1999

Our new anonymous source, calling himself 'Admiral Leighton,' has chimed in with what he claims to be a report on some of the stories for the new season currently being developed:

  • "Survival Instinct" (episode two) - a Seven of Nine episode. Seven runs into some ex-drones and learns of some "secret" from her past (could be a sleeper). Slated to shoot 6/18-6/29.
  • "Barge of the Dead" (episode three) - Moore & Fuller combination. Torres ventures [spirtutally] into (for lack of a better description) Klingon Hell. (We knew Moore would take over the Torres character, with his Klingon expertise, and with his writing talent on the project this could be a gem. Although, rumor has it that the original draft was ripped pretty thoroughly by some of Voyager vets.)
  • "5,000 Years" - (episode four) - Braga/Menosky/Taylor combo? The crew comes upon a species that has been in stasis for an extended period.
  • "Tinker Tenor Doctor Spy" (episode five) - Formerly "The Secret Life of Neelix." Writing combo of Taylor and someone named Vallely. Neelix's daydreams take on a life of their own when aliens become involved (rehash, rehash).
  • "Blink of an Eye" (episode six) - written by Taylor. Deals with a planet on which the lives of entire civilizations fall within a few seconds.
  • "Eye in the Sky" (episode seven) - Written by Jimmy Diggs. We find some sort of long-range telescope pointed at Earth.
  • "The Genie" (episode eight) - Formerly "Untitled Siren Ship." Writing combo Taylor/deLayne. Chakotay is lured to be the captain of your typical "mysterious ship."
  • "E Pludibus Unum" (abandoned?) - One of the crew infiltrates a society where everyone is identical.
  • "Uncivil Defense" - Written by Bormanis. Voyager is caught in a Hiroshima-like event.
  • "The Stone" - Written by Jeri Taylor. Adventure ensues as an object is tracked through several millenia.
  • "Untitled" - Menosky. Janeway has to tell stories to an alien computer.
  • "Paradigm" - Formerly "Untitled Alien Metaphor." Braga. Two crewmembers find themselves on a hostile alien planet.
