![]() DS9 FINALE SHOOTING UNDER WAY
|
Tuesday, March 30, 1999 From TrekWeb.COM. The grand two-hour finale of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine began filming yesterday, March 29th, 1999. The episode, at this time thought to be titled "What You Leave Behind," is sure to end the seven year run of the Star Trek franchise's most daring series with lots of action, excitement, and character intrigue. Based on unconfirmed reports from the Ain't It Cool News web site yesterday, it was rumored that the finale had begun shooting without the concluding half of its script complete. However, I have been informed from my own source(s) that not only was the shooting script entirely finished, but the only ongoing work at this point is the routine last-minute addition of ideas and scene retooling usually prompted by Rick Berman's comments. These types of changes have been standard on the show for the duration of its run and I am assured that the episode's creative and production phases are properly on schedule. I'm told that the show has lots of surprises in store for DS9 fans and that we can expect a brilliant finish to our beloved series.
